These lessons are for beginners looking for individual guidance, a structured introduction, and a distinctive movement practice. You don’t need previous Fire Knife experience, advanced strength, or the ability to flip.
The current offer focuses on Siva Afi foundations. Tricking and calisthenics inform the broader Embers Athletics approach, but this is not a full course in all three disciplines.
Luke is a Chicago-based Fire Knife dancer and continuing student of Siva Afi, with experience teaching at Hōkūle’a and through individual lessons. His instruction combines practical performance experience with respect for the art’s cultural roots and the people he continues to learn from.
